June has arrived in Virginia, which officially means the start of summer! Warm weather and sunny days make Fauquier County a great place to be. This month, there are tons of outdoor events and festivals going on! Check out these great things to do in Fauquier County in June for ideas on how to kick off the summer season!
1. 2024 Lavender Season at Seven Oaks Lavender Farm
WHEN: Open Every Day Between May 31st – July 14th from 9:00am – 4:00pm (weekdays) and 9:00am – 5:00pm (weekends)

Dream of walking through the endless lavender fields in Provence but never seem to have the opportunity to book a trip to France? Spend an afternoon at Seven Oak Lavender Farm instead! The Farm offers beautiful cut-you-own lavender stems, picnic areas, a playground for children and a farm store where you can purchase baked good, beauty products and more made from lavender grown on the farm.
On the first Friday of every month the party comes to Main Street Warrenton! The street is blocked off to traffic and instead filled with tons of family-friendly activities, vendors, live music, food trucks, wine/beer and more! Parking is available.
3. Celebrate Juneteenth
WHEN: June 15, 2024 from 11:00am – 8:00pm
WHERE: Main Street Warrenton
Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States on June 19, 1865.
You can celebrate Juneteenth here on Main Street Warrenton. The event will feature live music, family-friendly games and activities, an African dance troupe and food and shopping from Black-owned businesses in and around Fauquier County.
The American Legion Post 72 in Warrenton is hosting it’s annual Father’s Day Car Show! Bring the whole family to enjoy food, vendors and classic and new cars!
5. Warrenton Peak Season Farmer’s Market
WHEN: Every Saturday from 8:00am – 12:00pm April 20 – November 23, 2024
WHERE: 18 Court Street and outside along Court and Hotel Streets in Old Town Warrenton.
Visit the Warrenton Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning to stock up on fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, herbs, baked goods and a variety of other locally- made products!
WHEN: Every Sunday from May 5 – October 27, 2024. Gates open at 11:00am, show starts at 2:30pm.
WHERE: 5114 Ritchie Rd, Bealeton, VA 22728
The Flying Circus is the longest continuously running airshow in Virginia, featuring a host of antique airplanes including Stearmans, WACOs, Fleets, Cubs, Champs and others. Performances include formation flying demonstrations, world class aerobatics, death defying wing walkers, classic comedy routines and more! Biplane rides are available before and after the show!
WHEN: Every Saturday from May 25 – September 7, 2024. Gates open at 5:30pm
WHERE: 5089 Old Tavern Rd, The Plains, VA, 20198
If horses are more your liking, then bring your family and friends out for a fun and exciting evening of polo! Every Saturday evening features a different theme (you don’t have to dress up, but that’s part of the fun!), 3 exciting polo matches, picnicking and tailgates, wine, food trucks, giant tug o’war games for the kids at halftime and music!
The largest summer celebration in Fauquier County is returning! Featuring live music, food trucks, moon bounces, fireworks after dark, much more! Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy
